Someone's personal photo taken from the British warship HMS Powerful, built in 1895, a protected cruiser class. In WW1 the ship had most of her armament removed and was used to transport troops. The NZ visit took place in 1911; obviously the weather in Auckland as seen below was good, but Wellington turned on one of its occasional 'inclement' days.
