tram outside the Bank of NSW building on Lambton Quay, Wellington, 1900s

The Bank of NSW was one of the two predecessors of Westpac.  This was a fairly grand building at the time, but was nevertheless replaced with a high rise in the 1980s.  Viewed from Hunter Street with Featherston Street intersecting on the right. For lots more, see the book Wellington: a Capital century.
