S Scale is 1:64 or 3/16" to 1 ft. In countries with cape gauge (1067 mm or 3'6") track prototype railways - particularly South Africa, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and New Zealand - Sn3½ is a scale/gauge combination derived from S scale using 16.5 mm (0.65 in) gauge track, the same as HO scale track for standard gauge models, and (almost) correct scale.
