While modest by the scale of ore trains in other parts of the world, the iron ore trains that run from Luleå in the north of Sweden to Narvik in Norway over the Malmban are the biggest in Europe(?). See earlier posts.
Model railway manufacturer Märklin has now issued a limited (999 sets worldwide) edition in HO scale of a weathered Dm3 electric locomotive as they appeared originally, plus 12 matching 3-axle ore wagons, its catalog number 26800.
