While on the subject of trains in South Dakota, here is a press photo from Thursday showing a vintage 1880 steam passenger train of the Black Hills Central Railroad -
website - chugging through snow-covered hills between Hill City and Keystone. For nearby Rapid City, it was the earliest snowfall since 1888.
