The system began with electric trams in 1897, had a route length of 5.3 km and was closed in June 1950, replaced by buses. The previous December, the first trolleybus line was opened, the 3.54 km (2.20 mile) long Centenaire–Hôpital route, which had previously been served by trams. On 16 June 1950, the last remaining tram line was replaced by trolleybuses. More pics here
