Toronto Island ferry 'Thomas Rennie', Canada

One of the harbor ferries that have operated the short distance to the offshore islands of Toronto on Lake Ontario since the 19th century. This one, Thomas Rennie, dates from 1951 and originally had a capacity of 1,000 passengers; this was reduced to 524 and then increased to 736 due to upgrades to bulkheads and engines in 2011. There are 7 other ferries and in total they carry 75,000 passengers a day.
