Not the original 1957 Chevy bus that appeared in the TV sitcom
The Partridge Family, which ran from September 1970 until March 1974, but a recreation of the paint scheme on a later GMC. According to the
time.com website, "the [original] bus saw no glory of its own; instead the multicolored people mover found its final resting place in a Los Angeles junkyard in 1987. It was once a school bus, but the Partridges swapped the bright yellow hue for the gridlocked blocks of primary colors in the famed style of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian."
For those who don't remember it, the show was about a fictitious widowed mother and her five children who embark on a pop music career. One of the child stars, Susan Dey, featured in the late 1980s-early 1990s L.A. Law series.
