The bus was built in 1930 and was probably seen here at the time this line was opened on 5 July 1931. Bodywork was by Boon and Company of Christchurch and the motor was an English Electric 70 bhp DK 121; the controller was a 5-notch EMB non-automatic and bus seating capacity was 38 plus driver. These buses were withdrawn in the mid 1950s.
