items on sale at 9/11 Museum gift shop cause controversy

A gift shop selling books and DVDs on the subject of a museum is one thing, but in the case of the new 9/11 Museum in NYC (see earlier post), the museum gift shop items include T-shirts, jewelry, clothing, home decor, cell-phone cases, and even dog vests bearing tribute. AOL article and video

In our opinion, tacky merchandise in a shop in a museum on a somber subject is disrespectful.
