double headed steam on the American Falls bridge, Snake River, Idaho

This 960 ft (293 metre) long Pratt deck truss bridge was built in 1927 and raised and strengthed in the 1970s. The largest span is 250 ft (76 metres) and it has nine steel plate girder approach spans. At the time the railroad was the Oregon Short Line, today Union Pacific.  The view now is dominated by the hydro power dam.
