A development of the Citroën 2CV, and an answer to the increasingly popular Renault 4, nearly 1½ million of the Dyane were produced from 1967 to 1983. The original Dyane had only 21 hp from a 0.425 litre engine, but the Dyane 6, released in January 1968, increased this to 32 hp from a 0.602 litre engine.
