SNCF locomotive CC 40100

This was a series of 10 quadri-courant quadritension electrics made by Alstom in 1964 (4 units) and 1969-1970 (6 units) for cross-border use on 1.5 kV and 3 kV DC and 15 kV and 25 kV AC lines.  The 1964 units had a power output rating (continuous) of 3680 kW and the others 4480 kW.  They acquired the nickname of the "nez cassés" or broken noses.  They were withdrawn in the 1990s, 3 are preserved.
