Built in sandstone for the railway line between Görlitz and Breslau, this was completed as early as 1846. It is 489 metres long, 26 metres high, and 8 metres wide. It has a total of 35 arches, the widest of which is 15 metres. Needless to say it was given high explosive treatment - 2 arches and 1 pier - at the end of WW2 by the retreating Wehrmacht and rebuilt by Polish authorities, after Stalin gave this part of Germany to Poland. Today it carries 2 electrified tracks. More
