Wellington tram on Kent Terrace, 1950

With the statue of Queen Vic in the background, originally placed in Post Office Square (see earlier posts), double saloon tram 110 is seen on Kent Terrace near the intersection with Courtenay Place.  The double saloon trams were the most numerous on the Wellington system with a total of 140 being built at the Council's workshops at Kilbirnie between 1913 and 1935.  This is another photo that was considered for but not used in the book Wellington Transport Memories.
