a PCC car in 1969 - six of these are today stored outside the city's airport and could be restored for use again

 

 

 

The El Paso electric streetcar system lasted from 1902 to 1974.  But, in common with several other American cities, there are plans to bring them back. El Paso Times article   more pics on this page
