Formerly used in Copenhagen, now in the
Danish Technical Museum. Trolley buses were introduced in the Copenhagen suburb of Gentofte with
one line in 1927, operated by the regional power company NESA. The
network was gradually expanded to connect to the suburbs of Lyngby and
Søborg. From 1938 to 1963 trolley buses operated between Lyngbyvej and Nørreport Station. From 1953 NESA operated 4 trolley bus lines until 1963 when the two lines to
Nørreport Station were converted to diesel buses. NESA finally
replaced trolley buses with diesel buses in 1971.
