1952 Fiat 1400 poster

Introduced at the 1950 Geneva Motor Show, the Fiat 1400 was produced until 1958. It was the first Fiat car without a chassis.  The name came from the engine cc, although there was also a diesel engine 1900 cc version from 1953 but which was called a Fiat 1400 diesel. The petrol engine was a straight 4 cylinder producing 44 hp (33 kW) at 4400 rpm with 4 and 5-speed manual gears.
