This double-deck diesel-powered (push-pull) train operated by the North County Transit District makes the run from Oceanside to San Diego 11 times a day on weekdays (13 on Fridays) in each direction, with fewer trains on weekends. It provides a cheaper alternative to Amtrak's Surfliner over this route, albeit with more stops.
