An ex-Southern Pacific ALCo RS-11 is seen in Southern Peru Copper company service. This was a Bo-Bo type powered by an ALCo 251B 1,800 hp prime mover, first produced in 1956. It was available in both high hood and low hood versions - this is obviously one of the latter.
