These were equipped originally with three pantographs, but lacked cab side windows (replaced by sliding plates). The original livery was blue.
Their career was relatively short as they repeatedly had heating problems with motor bearings, solved later by mounting roller bearings on 3110, and the arrival in the late 1920s of heavy metal OEMC cars showed these locos to be too light and insufficiently powerful.
