Circular Quay, Sydney, then and now

A 1930s postcard and a very recent pic taken by Geoff Churchman.  The Circular Quay railway station and the connecting bridges were completed in 1956 (see the book Railway Electrification in Australia and New Zealand for more on the Sydney suburban and interurban railways).

The AMP building (centre-left) from 1962 is considered Sydney's first skyscraper which exceeded the hitherto 150 ft (45 metre) height limit..
