Victor Harbor tourist tram souvenirs, South Australia

The line across a 630-metre trestle from Victor Harbor to Granite Island was originally built in 1867 by South Australian Railways in its 5'3" (1600 mm) gauge but was operated by horses. A few years of steam loco operation were ended in favor of horses again.  A passenger service was started in 1894 and later operated privately under contract to the SA Railways.  The horse tram ceased in the mid 1950s but in 1986 it was reconstructed using replica cars as a tourist attraction on the original causeway trestle.  The all-up route is about 1.2 km (0.75 miles)  website
