As steam trams went, this one was reasonably long lasting, having commenced in 1881 and ended in 1957. It was 750 mm gauge and ran from Arnhem, via Doetinchem to Isselburg-Anholt in Germany. After WW2 the service was reduced and in 1954 only the trajectory Doetinchem - Doesburg Haven and two connecting lines to Wijnbergen and Hummelo were left. In the summers of 1956 and 1957 a historic tram traveled between Doetinchem and Doesburg, and 2 September 1957 saw the last service. This tram was built in 1900 and now preserved in the
Nationaal Smalspoor Museum in Valkenburg
