We mentioned the 150th anniversary of the London Underground a few days ago. This recent 2-DVD set contains 15 films made by or for British Transport in the period from 1947 to 1983 on the subject of London's tube trains and the buses, most looking at daily life on the part of both commuters and London Transport workers.
Most of the films are also viewable on the London Transport Museum website, but like DVDs generally, this gives you the opportunity to view them in high quality on a 50" screen, and worth the very modest purchase price. You also get a full colour booklet.
