An FDC to mark 50 years of the locomotive in 1984, issued in Tuvalu... go figure. It's not stated whether this was a genuine passenger working from steam days or an excursion train, but probably the latter.
It's a genuine steam train, pre-Aug 1968. Excursions usually had some little numbers up front (like the famous last one, 1T57), and although 'Kolhapur' has survived into preservation, the giveaway is the yellow stripe, a BR edict signifying the engine was banned under the electric wires south of Crewe. This defacement was not carried after '68. Finally, Leeds shed kept 45593 (and 45562) in immaculate condition back in 1967.

Definitely weird for a Polynesian stamp, mind you!
