The 29-metre-high Sprembergerturm or Spremberger tower dates from the 13th century and was once part of the town defenses.
This Brandenburg province city's metre-gauge tram system began in 1901 and today there are 4 lines totalling a bit over 20 km of route, on which 21 articulated trams operate plus 3 veteran 2-axle powered cars and a 2-axle trailer.
