buses in Reykjavik, Iceland, early 1960s

Iceland is a country Steven Joyce should like as it has no railways (and the plan for a Reykjavik International Airport at Keflavik to city rail link was given the treatment he would approve of - a motorway was built in 2008 instead) so public transport necessarily takes the form of buses. This photo taken in Laekjargata, Downtown Reykjavik, shows buses before the country switched to driving on the right in 1968.
