London & South Western Railway London to Plymouth Express
From the 1900s, what could almost be a chocolate box cover. It looks like a 4-6-0 in front, but according to this page, L&SWR locomotive 457 was a 0-4-0ST dock engine.
The loco is a G14 class 4-6-0, I think: see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LSWR_G14_class . The painting appears to be based on a photo, a copy of which is currently available on E-Bay, that's captioned as showing a Plymouth express near Wilton, c.1910: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LSWR_G14_class .
