Kristiansand harbour, Norway

a 1960s view also showing the railway station and yard
another 1960s view - the motorship Skagen which made the Hirthals to Kristiansand run
As a port city near the southern tip of Norway facing the east, Kristiansand, with a present day population of about 83,000, has been an obvious destination of ferries from the west coast of Denmark, and car and rail ferries make their way there from Hirthals.
