trams and buses in Nantes, France

A 1940s view of the Place du Commerce, nowadays a pedestrian zone and light rail lines are to the right in Allée Brancas, a system that now extends 40 km in standard gauge, pic below and see earlier post.

One of the 33 Incentro trams built for Nantes by Adtranz: double-ended, five sections, length of 36.4 metres (119 ft), width 2.4 metres, floor height 350 mm, 64 seats, Bo-2-Bo axle arrangement, 8 x 45 kW (60 hp) motors, 750 V DC from overhead, maximum speed 80 km/h, weight empty 39 tonnes.  The same trams are used in Nottingham, England.
