Croft Combined Carriers operated from Lower Hutt in the 1950s and 1960s (footage is included in the NZ Road Memories DVD) and are still in business: today known as Croft Transport and still based in Lower Hutt.
This oil painting, commissioned of Wallace Trickett, shows an old Commer truck parked at Lower Hutt station in the 1960s .
