The engines are FT's which were long gone by 1971. Perhaps 1951 is more likely, based on this information and the modest deterioration of the magenta component of the color film.
That bridge across the Washita River is the one that stands there today (between Gene Autry and Big Canyon), and I believe that it was constructed in the mid '50s after floods washed away the previous bridge.
If anyone has any more photos of this area taken around 1960 I would love to see them.
