Leopards in Ulverston

Ribble Motor Services from Preston operated services with a very large fleet of buses and coaches in Lancashire and the Lake District. Here several examples of their fleet are seen at Victoria Street, Ulverston (birthplace town of comedian Stan Laurel) in 1979. The three buses in the photo are all Leyland Leopards with Marshall bodywork. Ribble had a good reputation for keeping their fleet clean and tidy inside and out. (Wallace Trickett)
