We mentioned these in a previous post; one of Ian Allan's recent colour photo albums is dedicated to them to mark 50 years since their introduction. They were built purely for hauling expresses on the East Coast main line between Kings Cross and Edinburgh, so the range of scenery is not as great as with other classes but the pics are still very nice and some are on the secondary routes that they were assigned to after the HST sets had taken over their duties in the late 1970s, plus of course, railtours. Like the other such Ian Allan albums, it has 80 pages in 270 x 170 mm format, hardcover.
