1939 Dodge Airflow tanker


This was one of the great commercial designs of the Art Deco era of the 1930s. There is a Texaco tanker like this one in the Henry Ford Museum, but this example is housed in the Richardson Truck Museum in Invercargill, New Zealand, which has to be one of the best truck museums anywhere. There was an excellent book on the museum's collection published a few years ago which we have in our library. Museum website
