An AEC Regent III RT, to give it the full name. London Transport received 4,674 of the post-war RT class buses between 1947 and 1954 and the last one operated in 1979. After their withdrawal by London Transport, examples were exported to several places around the world, including NZ and the US. We think this one was carried aboard the Queen Mary on her final voyage to Long Beach near LA in 1967, and this postcard photo taken shortly thereafter.
