the historic Glacier Rally of 1989

A postcard advertising the "Glacier Rally" organised by the Historic Car Club of Nino Farina, Italy in July 1989: 20 years later, i.e. 2 years ago, a repeat rally was held, on that occasion covering a route from Sondrio, the Stelvio pass, the Umbrail pass, the pass of Resia to Seefeld, a mountain resort near Innsbruck in Austria. The next day went to Fussen, the Neuschwannstein Castle, along the Alpenstrasse to Lindau, on the German coast of Lake Constance (Bodensee in German). The next day went diagonally over the Klausen pass in Switzerland where, in the 1930s, there was a famous hill climb for cars and motorcycles; the final destination being Zermatt, in the Valais Alps.
