abcDSB


The subtitle of this Danske Statsbaner (DSB) publication from the 1970s says "The Passenger's Handbook" and the diagram is of a MZ class locomotive.  While it's nice to think that people are interested in the railway equipment that they travel on and which hauls them, the reality is that only a relatively small percentage are, and most people, including nearly all women, are interested in other things as will be found in the DSB's freebie magazine for passengers Ud og Se (out and see), the issues of which since 2005 are archived on its website, click the link.

But you want to know about the ME, so here you are:-

This was a series of 37 diesel-electric locomotives built by Henschel of Germany between 1981 and 1986 and are technically very similar to the NSB Di4  All except one are still in service but have the new midnight blue livery.
