tram in front of the Siegestor, Munich

A postcard from about a century ago. The Siegestor (victory gate) is still there, but without a tram track running through it. The gate is 21 metres high, 24 metres wide, and 12 metres deep. It was commissioned by King Ludwig I of Bavaria, designed by Friedrich von Gärtner and completed by Eduard Mezger in 1852.
