grassgrubs at Ormondville

Not the same train as in the photo of the picnic train at Waipukurau in the Tuesday post, but about the same time period, this shows a northbound passenger train stopping at the now preserved station in the Hawke's Bay village of Ormondville, north of Dannevirke.  As well as an interesting railway museum, the station also provides bed and breakfast accommodation, and being a few metres from an operating freight railway, this is an experience with a difference!  Website
