Caribou, Maine, 1940

Two photos in the US Library of Congress, both taken in 1940.  The first shows trucks outside a starch factory (potato growing is a major industry in the region) and the second a steam train at the railway yard.  This was a station on the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad which operated from 1891 to 2003.
