A book of railway photography, but this one is a bit different. The 'noir' and the cover indicate spooky settings and that is what the photographer has set out to capture, the sort of scenes the art director of a
film noir movie would want to achieve of cowboy bars, blue motels, and railway work and workers in electrical storms, white-outs and desert heat waves in the American West. The text was written by a woman who spent 20 years as a freight train conductor and brakeman. The photos are about 60% colour and 40 % b/w. 160 pages in landscape format, hardcover.
