old New York postcards featuring transport

The approach to Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan in the background, 1912

Bowery and Doubledeck "El", 1917

streetcars on Broadway, 1920

Hudson and Manhattan tube, 1922

Greeley Square and Broadway, 1920. The 6th Avenue "El" was demolished in 1938, and much of the scrap metal was sold to the Japanese.  Many thought during WW2 that this metal was being used in armaments against Americans.
