Vulcan railcar at Greymouth

We showed one of these railcars arriving at Hokitika a couple of days ago, so here is one arriving at Greymouth, in the red with white flashes livery that was adopted in the 1950s.  The date is given as 3 January 1964 and it is raining, typical West Coast weather.  What seems to be a 1950s Humber car is across the road. Today the TranzAlpine still arrives over this track but the trackage along the river bank to the old wharves has gone as has the bridge across the Grey River visible, replaced with a higher concrete structure.
