NZR's Daylight Limited

In New Zealand the Daylight Limited ran between Wellington and Auckland over the North Island Main Trunk from 1925.  Here is a pic from a 1937 issue of the New Zealand Railways Magazine with a K class 4-8-4 up front.  The normally diesel hauled Scenic Daylight replaced it in 1963, then the Blue Streak railcars, then the Silver Fern railcars, and finally the Overlander which is the ultimate successor train today.  More information is in our books.
