Wellington Transport Memories. A VW Beetle on the left and a Transporter being overtaken by the post-war Austin truck are the most recent vehicles visible. A couple of pre-war sedans are parked by the hotel, which was demolished in the 1980s and replaced with a smaller structure. The former Pigeon Park, now revamped and called Te Aro park, is beside the couple walking. Photo from 20 April 1957, taken at 10:55 pm according to the clock.
