the greatest railway station that is no longer a station - Cincinnati Union Terminal
Cincinnati's Union Passenger Terminal, an Art Deco masterpiece and reopened as a museum 20 years ago, is one of the must-see buildings for those interested in great railway stations. Dedicated in 1933, it only served passenger trains until 1972 when Amtrak sought a different location in the city.
Here is the link to the museum's presentation site which presents the building's past, present and future.
Update
It seems this station is once again a station! A check on the Amtrak site gives its address instead of 1901 River Road.
