cars at the outings, Hawkes Bay, 1946


Two photos from the book Historic Hawkes Bay and East Cape published recently, showing mostly American pre-WW2 cars, although a Morris 8 (yes, again!) is detected in the centre background of the second photo. The book is available in our shop.

    Nice to see you featuring my book, but I have to point out that the top image (p 130 of the book) is of Waikanae Beach in Gisborne, not Hawke's Bay.

    yes there is another Waikanae Beach in NZ, but somehow we think the Kapiti Coast one is the better known.
