Brünig Pass station then and now

The kilometre high Brünig Pass station - officially Brünig-Hasliberg - in Switzerland is the highest point on the metre-gauge Brünigbahn (now renamed Zentralbahn since its sale by the Swiss Federal Railways to a regional operator 5 years ago) which connects the tourist resort of Interlaken with Luzern / Lucerne, 74 km total length.  It is equipped with a Riggenbach rack rail system because of the gradients of up to 12%.
